María Alejandra Bravo

About me

I am a Ph.D. student at the University of Freiburg, Germany, under the supervision of Prof. Thomas Brox.

 

Previously I was a Research Assistant in the Biomedical Computer Vision Group at Universidad de los Andes, Colombia, with Prof. Pablo Arbeláez. I did a Research Internship at KAUST at the Image and Video Understanding Lab. I worked on Video Object Segmentation under the supervision of Prof. Bernard Ghanem.

 

I have a MSc in Biomedical Engineering with an emphasis on computer vision and image analysis. I have a BSc in Mathematics and a BSc in Biomedical Engineering. My areas of interest lie in the field of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Technologies, specifically in Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition. I am also interested in numerical analysis, applied mathematics, optimization, and statistical methods. Within this field, my current research is focused on Video Analysis. I also enjoy other related fields involving Deep Learning techniques, Image Processing, Programming Languages, and Painting.

 

I also work in Más Colombia a Solidarity Network to train youth in leadership and community service to build a better Colombia.
